Hyderabad : Telangana’s Urban Administration Minister KT Rama Rao targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on several issues including inflation in the country. Rama Rao addressed a public meeting at Narayanpet on Tuesday after participating in several programmes. He alleged that the amount of loans taken by the present NDA government in the last eight and a half years was not taken during the tenure of all the prime ministers before this government.
Referring to a newspaper article written by Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council chairman Bibek Debroy, Rama Rao said that the idea of taxing farmers is appalling. Rama Rao, son of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, also took a jibe at BJP leaders’ statements regarding construction of highways and airports during the NDA government’s tenure. He said tolls are collected on highways, while airports are built by private companies.
He also accused the BJP of fanning communal issues instead of talking about the issues related to livelihood in the country.
Meanwhile, state BJP president and party MP B Sanjay Kumar criticized the state government on various issues.
Addressing the party’s state executive committee meeting at Mahbubnagar, Kumar said a white paper should be issued on the properties of Chief Minister Rao’s family.
